Unlike a ring lite's rather flat and frontal lighting, the new MT-24EX is designed to allow a natural directional quality to macro and close-up lighting. This innovative new Macro Twin Lite permits a wide range of individual positioning to each flash head, and either head can be removed from its attachment ring as well (they both have shoemount fittings, with a 1/4-20 socket). It's fully with Canon's E-TTL flash system, so it works beautifully with film and digital EOS SLRs. Full support for wireless E-TTL and ratio control is also provided, making this an incredibly versatile addition to any serious macro photographer. With a high guide number 79/feet or 24/meters at 100 ISO, it easily handles the small aperatures common in close-up shooting. A pair of focus assist lamps are built-in, and this remarkable Speedlite has nine Custom Functions for even more versatility.
